Privacy Notice

Version 2026-09-04 · Effective September 4, 2026

This Privacy Notice explains how TerraCalc.app ("TerraCalc"), operated by Livio Technologies ("Livio Technologies," "we," "us," or "our"), handles information when you access or use TerraCalc.

TerraCalc can be used without an account. An optional account is required only for features such as private cloud projects, cross-device access, account data export, and account-based project management.

1. Information We Handle

The information TerraCalc handles depends on how you use the service.

Anonymous and local use

When you use TerraCalc without an account, calculator estimates, project names, language, unit settings, appearance preferences, and other locally saved preferences may be stored in browser storage on your device. TerraCalc does not upload locally saved estimates to a private cloud account unless you sign in and expressly choose to import or save them to cloud projects.

You can remove locally stored estimates through TerraCalc's Projects controls or by clearing TerraCalc site data through your browser.

Optional account information

If you create or use a TerraCalc account, we and our authentication and database service providers may process information including:

Business workspace, customers, projects, and estimates

If you choose to use TerraCalc's private business-workspace features, we may process:

The business profile, customer, project-site, and commercial-estimate fields are optional. They are stored only when a signed-in account holder chooses to submit or save them. TerraCalc's calculators remain available without an account or business-workspace data.

TerraCalc includes landscape and construction calculators, including calculators for materials such as mulch, soil, gravel, sod, concrete, rebar, and wire mesh. Workspace and calculator data is used to provide the calculator, customer, project, estimate, synchronization, export, deletion, troubleshooting, and security functions described in this Notice.

Information about your customers and other people

Customer contact information is provided and controlled by the TerraCalc account holder, not collected directly from that customer by TerraCalc. If you enter information about another person, you are responsible for having appropriate authority to provide and use it and for giving any notice required for your use. In the current release, Livio Technologies does not use those customer contacts for marketing, combine them with advertising identifiers, or send messages to them through TerraCalc.

Technical, usage, and security information

When you use TerraCalc, our hosting, site-delivery, database, authentication, analytics, consent, advertising-measurement, and security providers may automatically process limited technical information such as:

We use this information to deliver TerraCalc, maintain reliability, understand service performance, troubleshoot problems, prevent abuse, and protect users and the service.

Communications and privacy requests

If you contact us, submit a privacy request, report a problem, or otherwise communicate with Livio Technologies, we may process the information you provide, your contact information, and records reasonably necessary to respond, investigate, document the request, or comply with applicable law.

Sensitive information

TerraCalc is not designed to collect payment-card or bank-account information, government identification numbers, account credentials, building access codes, precise geolocation, health information, biometric information, or other sensitive personal information through business, customer, project, or estimate fields. Please do not place sensitive or unrelated personal information in TerraCalc's user-entered fields.

2. Sources of Information

We receive information:

We do not purchase personal information from data brokers for use in TerraCalc.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information described in this Notice to:

We do not intentionally send account or customer contact information, business or project names, postal addresses, record identifiers, pricing, tax information, exact project measurements, or free-form workspace content to advertising or analytics providers as event parameters.

4. Analytics, Cookies, Advertising, and Consent

TerraCalc uses Google Tag Manager to manage consent and approved measurement technologies. Depending on your privacy choices, configuration, and applicable law, services may include Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Advertising UET, and Microsoft Clarity.

Non-essential analytics and advertising storage is denied by default through TerraCalc's published consent controls and is enabled only as permitted by your choices and applicable law. TerraCalc's calculator and account features remain available when non-essential cookies or similar technologies are denied.

Analytics and advertising-measurement events are designed to use limited event and category-level information and not business or customer contact information, project names, postal addresses, pricing, tax information, exact measurements, record identifiers, or other private workspace content.

At the effective date of this Notice, display advertising through Google AdSense is not active on TerraCalc. If display advertising is enabled in the future, TerraCalc will apply applicable consent and privacy-choice requirements and will update this Notice when a material change to our privacy practices requires an update.

Third-party analytics and advertising providers may process information such as IP address, browser or device information, cookie or similar identifiers, page or event information, and advertising interactions according to the user's consent choices, provider configuration, and applicable law.

5. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

TerraCalc does not sell personal information for money.

Some privacy laws define "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" more broadly than an exchange of information for money. Depending on the law that applies, disclosures of certain browser, device, cookie, or activity information to analytics or advertising providers may be treated as a sale, sharing, or processing for targeted advertising.

Where applicable, you may use TerraCalc's published consent controls to reject or change non-essential analytics and advertising choices. If TerraCalc is subject to a law requiring recognition of a universal opt-out mechanism or preference signal, we will process supported signals as required by that law.

TerraCalc does not currently use personal information to make decisions through profiling that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning an individual.

6. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

Service providers

We use service providers for functions such as web hosting and site delivery, authentication, database storage, transactional email, consent management, analytics, advertising measurement, security, monitoring, and related infrastructure. TerraCalc currently uses Supabase-managed infrastructure for optional account authentication and private workspace storage. These providers may process information only as necessary to perform services for TerraCalc, subject to their contractual obligations and applicable law.

At your direction

We may disclose or transmit information when you direct TerraCalc to do so, such as when using a share, export, print, or similar feature.

Legal, security, and protection purposes

We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other legal process; investigate fraud or abuse; enforce our Terms; protect TerraCalc or our systems; or protect the rights, safety, or security of users, Livio Technologies, service providers, or the public.

Business transactions

Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, corporate reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality or data-protection requirements.

7. Aggregated and De-Identified Information

Livio Technologies may create and use information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it does not reasonably identify you, your account, or an individual project.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to operate, analyze, secure, test, develop, and improve TerraCalc, including its calculators, calculation logic, material information, features, performance, reliability, and user experience. We may retain such information for these purposes unless prohibited by applicable law.

8. Retention and Deletion

We retain information for the period reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Notice, subject to operational, security, backup, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, and legal requirements.

When information is deleted from active systems, residual copies may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or other protected systems until normal retention or rotation periods expire.

9. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

TerraCalc provides controls that may allow you to:

Depending on where you live and whether applicable law applies to Livio Technologies, you may also have rights to:

To exercise a privacy right that is not available through TerraCalc's account controls, email privacy@terracalc.app and describe your request. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. Where permitted by law, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf, and we may request information necessary to verify the agent's authority.

If we deny a privacy-rights request and applicable law provides a right to appeal, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing privacy@terracalc.app with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line.

We may retain information necessary to document and respond to privacy requests as permitted or required by law.

10. Browser Privacy Signals

TerraCalc does not rely on legacy browser "Do Not Track" signals because there is no uniform industry standard for interpreting them.

Some jurisdictions recognize universal opt-out mechanisms or preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, for certain sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising choices. If TerraCalc is subject to a law requiring recognition of such a signal, TerraCalc will process supported signals as required by applicable law.

11. Security

Livio Technologies uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect TerraCalc and information processed through the service. These measures may include access controls, encrypted transport, data-access restrictions, limited service credentials, monitoring, and tested account-data export and deletion procedures.

No internet service, transmission method, authentication method, storage system, or security control can guarantee complete security. You are responsible for maintaining reasonable security of your email account, devices, browser sessions, and authentication methods.

If we become aware of a security incident affecting personal information, we will take reasonable steps to investigate, contain, remediate, and provide notifications required by applicable law.

12. Children

TerraCalc is a general-audience landscape and construction planning tool and is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child under 13 in circumstances requiring deletion or parental consent under applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to address the information and comply with applicable requirements.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to TerraCalc, contact privacy@terracalc.app.

13. International Processing

TerraCalc is operated from the United States. Information associated with account-based use may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers maintain systems or personnel.

Privacy and data-protection laws vary by jurisdiction. Where applicable law gives you additional rights or imposes additional obligations on Livio Technologies, we will handle personal information in accordance with those requirements.

14. Changes to This Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice as TerraCalc, our service providers, our business practices, or applicable legal requirements change.

We will identify changes by publishing a new version and effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we may provide additional notice through TerraCalc, by email, through the consent interface, or by another reasonable method as appropriate.
